In this route you will have a full image about Tianshan Mountain and the capital city of Urumqi. It is located at the northern foot of the eastern section of the Tianshan Mountains and on the southeastern edge of Jungar Basin ,Urumqi is the capital of the Xinjing Uygur Autonomous Region and the political ,economic and culture center and also the melting pot of central Asia and China inland in many fields .Within an area of 15sq.kms and about 60kms to the east of Urumqi ,there stand 7 peaks all above 5000 meters in elevation .The highest peak of them ,the Bogda peak is 5445 meters above the sea level .With the top covered with snow all the year round ,it stands towering like a patron Saint to the east of Urumqi .The Tianchi Lake (the Heavenly Lake )is a natural mountain lake ,situated on the eastern part of the Tianshan Mountains with an elevation of 1980 meters .The lake is semicircular in shape with its length being 3,400 meters and its maximum width being 1,500meters .The total area of the lake is 4.9sq.kms.and the maximum depth of it is 105meters .It is 110 km from Urumqi .You will enjoy in trekking and boating during this trip. Tianchi Lake is a very beautiful mountain lake formed more than million years ago in the 4 th glacial epoch ,and the water in it is pure and icy .On the hills around it there grow a lot of grass and flowers .To the east of the lake stands the Bogda Peak capped by glacier and snow glistening in the sun ,which ,finely contrasted with blue lake water, forms a beautiful scenery . Except for the Northern Tianshan Bogda you also have another route to explore Western Tianshan mountains , represented by a famous attraction Tomur Peak . Situated in the north of Wensu County ,the Tomur Peak is the tallest peak of the Tianshan Mountains, with an elevation of 7435 meters, and also the largest modern glacial area of China. In 1980, the Tomur Peak Natural Reserve, covering an area of 1000 square kilometers, was established . There are not only unique natural sights but also numberless rare and valuable wild animals, like the Tianshan red deer, snow chicken, marmot, yak, brown bear, snow leopard and black stork, and the latter two are listed as the animals under the first standard protection of the State. The area around the Tomur Peak is also an important zone of forest resources and a famous scenic spot for mountaineering, exploration and scientific expedition .

level .Boat to south of the Lake, where we start our

Day 3-4 Trek to Base Camp of Mt.Bogda ,which is snow capped

yearly with altitude of 5445 meters above sea

Day5 Expore Glaciers around the BC .,Ice cave with thousands

of years ,visit traditional Kazak family . Camping
